Simendinger, the founder and namesake of the Wesco company, was committed to excellence, and built his company on a solid foundation of sound business practices, and a strong work ethic, with attention to detail and customer service. Known for his honesty, integrity, and well developed business acumen, Walter was a recognized leader in Vermont's retail gasoline industry
He and his wife Jo Ann worked together to build a small company into a thriving convenience store chain. All four of their children worked in the business from early ages, and today their two sons carry on Walter's legacy.
